This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Client Supply Terms of Service (the "Terms"). Capitalized words not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. It applies to you, everyone you let into your workspace, every client workspace you manage, and everything Aria, Valets, routines and other automations do on your instructions.
Client Supply is a tool. You decide who you contact, what you say and what you publish. This AUP lists the few things you may not use the Service for, because they are unlawful, because they harm the people you contact, or because they get the phone numbers, apps and accounts that the Service depends on suspended for everyone.
1. Communications (SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, email, calls)
You may not use the Service to:
- Send marketing text messages, or make marketing calls using an artificial or prerecorded voice (including an AI-generated voice), to a person who has not given the consent the applicable law requires (for marketing texts and AI or prerecorded marketing calls in the United States, generally prior express written consent).
- Send automated texts or make automated or AI calls to numbers from purchased, rented, shared, scraped or appended lists (this includes SMS, MMS and WhatsApp).
- Contact a person after they have opted out by any reasonable means (for example STOP, "unsubscribe", "don't call me again", a reply, or a request made in a call or chat), except for a single confirmation of the opt-out where the law allows it.
- Call or text a number on the National Do Not Call Registry or a state do-not-call list for telemarketing, unless an exemption applies and you can prove it.
- Send automated marketing texts or calls outside the hours permitted where the recipient is (in the United States, federal law permits 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. recipient local time, and several states are narrower).
- Record a call, or let a call be recorded or transcribed, without giving any notice and obtaining any consent the law of each party's location requires.
- Make a call with an AI voice that falsely claims to be a human when sincerely asked, or that hides the identity of the business on whose behalf the call is made.
- Send email that has false or misleading header information, a deceptive subject line, no working unsubscribe, or no valid physical postal address where the law requires one, or keep emailing someone who has unsubscribed. Campaign, marketing and conversation email goes out from your own connected mailbox or sending domain, never from our system sender.
- Promote a business, product or content that is prohibited or restricted by any of these lists, as each is updated from time to time, which are part of this AUP by reference: the wireless carriers' rules for business messaging (including the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices and the "SHAFT" categories: sex, hate, alcohol, firearms and tobacco), Meta's policies (including the Meta Advertising Standards, Commerce Policies and WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy), and Stripe's list of Restricted Businesses. The same applies to anything else a provider you use through the Service prohibits.
- Use WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram messaging outside the windows, templates and tags Meta allows.
- Send political or election messages, calls or texts (for example for a candidate, party, ballot measure or political committee, or fundraising for them). This is not offered at launch.
- Spoof a phone number, show a caller ID you are not entitled to use, or hide your caller ID.
- Rotate numbers, snowshoe, alter content or use any other technique to get around carrier filters, spam detection, sending limits or a person's opt-out.
2. Voices, faces and people
You may not:
- Clone a voice, or create an avatar, likeness or character based on a real person, unless that person is you or has given you permission for that use. You are responsible for the faces and voices you upload, and you can show that permission if asked.
- Use a cloned voice, avatar or likeness to impersonate a real person, a business or a public authority, or to make people believe a real person said or endorsed something they did not.
- Create sexual or intimate content depicting a real, identifiable person, any content sexualizing minors, or content that harasses, threatens or defames anyone.
- Present fictional testimonials, reviews or "customer" stories (including UGC-style characters) as if they came from real customers, or post reviews about your own or a competitor's business that misrepresent who wrote them.
- Clone or use the voice of a third party (including a public figure or a celebrity) without that person's consent.
3. Data
You may not:
- Upload or process personal data you have no right to use, or use it for a purpose its owner was not told about where the law requires that.
- Store in the Service, outside the fields built for them: payment card numbers, bank account credentials, government ID numbers, health information regulated by HIPAA, or similar sensitive data unless we agree in writing.
- Direct the Service, or any page you publish with it, to children under 13, or knowingly collect their personal information.
- Use data from Meta, Google or another connected platform in a way that platform forbids (for example selling it, or using Gmail data for advertising).
- Use the Service to make decisions about a person's eligibility for credit, insurance, housing, employment or similar, or to compile consumer reports.
4. Research and the web
You may not use the web research, brand import or social reading features to: get around a login, paywall, rate limit or technical block; collect data from accounts that are not public; harvest contact details for messaging in breach of section 1; or overload a website.
5. Accounts, AI and the Service itself
You may not:
- Share a personal login, including a personal Claude subscription, among several people; each person connects their own, or the organization uses an API key. Connect only accounts you are entitled to use, and use each connected provider within its own terms.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties except as an agency for your own clients' workspaces as the Terms allow.
- Probe, scan or test the Service's security, reverse engineer it, interfere with it, or access another organization's data.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, phishing pages, or deceptive pages that imitate another business.
- Use the Service in breach of export controls or sanctions, or from a sanctioned country.
- Use the AI features to generate content that Anthropic's Usage Policy, or the policy of another AI provider you connect, prohibits.
6. What we do about it
We do not monitor your workspace as a matter of course. We act when we learn of a problem, for example from a complaint, a carrier, platform or payment provider notice, or an automatic signal (opt-out or complaint rates). Depending on how serious it is and how much it puts our accounts, numbers, apps or other customers at risk, we may: tell you and ask you to fix it; pause specific sends, numbers, automations or pages; suspend the workspace; or end the Terms. Where there is a clear and immediate risk (for example a carrier or Meta threatening to block, or content listed in section 2.3) we may act first and tell you right after. We may share information with a carrier, platform, payment provider or authority where we reasonably believe it is required or needed to protect people or the Service.
